The year 1837 saw the introduction of the Seated Liberty Dime, and a phase-out of the Capped Bust type, meaning that both types were minted in 1837. The Seated Liberty theme on the Dime lasted until 1891, and was also present on the U.S. half dime, quarter, half dollar, and silver dollar.
