Uganda is mostly agricultural based, and is blessed with ample rainfall and fertile soil. After decades of internal conflict, the country is now rebuilding. Current population is just over 23 million people. The capital city is Kampala, the currency is the New Uganda Shilling and the official language is English.

The terrain includes an upland plateau, numerous mountains, lakes and rivers. Tourism and coffee exports are significant economic factors.
