Guam

Australia/Oceania
Guam, a territory of the U.S, is a volcanic island located in the Pacific Ocean, about three-quarters of the way from Hawaii to the Philippines. The capital city is Agana, the currency is the U.S. Dollar and the most used languages are English, Chamorro and Japanese. Population exceeds 157,000.

The climate is best described as an “endless summer.” However, from June to November, the island is subject to numerous Pacific typhoons.

With Anderson Air Force Base, and a thriving tourism business, the overall economy is strong. In fact, Guam receives more tourists than any other Pacific island, with the exception of Hawaii. Most of those tourists are Japanese and Korean.
