Grenada is called the 'Spice Island', and for good reason, it's the world's second larger exporter of nutmeg.
In addition, it produces large quantities of cloves, cinnamon, ginger and mace. The capital city is St. George's, the currency is the East Caribbean Dollar, the official language is English and the population is over 98,000. Since the 1983 coup and the subsequent US invasion, tourism is on the rebound on both Grenada and on its sister island of Carriacou.
