Located off the northeastern coast of Madagascar, Comoros is a three island group that includes Mwali, Njazidja and Nzwani. The capital city is Moroni, the currency is the Comoros Franc and the official languages are Arabic and French.

The climate is hot and humid along the coasts, while cool and dry in the mountains. The terrain is volcanic in origin, with many hills and valleys.

The Arab culture permeates throughout the islands and the main economic strengths are agriculture based, with fishing and spices as part of the mix.
