arrow General Information Discovered in 1722, it's name mean "First Born." Made famous by books, movies, and its incredible beauty and natural attributes (especially the wonderful beaches), it's now besieged by tourism and overcrowding. Regardless, if you must visit a South Pacific island, Bora Bora would be an excellent choice.
