DESCRIPTION The current flag of Bolivia was officially adopted on November 30, 1851. The red and green colors were part of the original flag of 1825. Red is said to recall valor and green indicates fertility. The centered band of yellow symbolizes the country's mineral resources, and the coat of arms within that band is topped with a condor.
