This is Volume 3 of the 6 Volumes of the Wolverine Series of Comic Books. It stars the X-Men member Wolverine.

Volume 3 started publishing in July 2003 and ran for 74 issues until August 2009. The series was renamed Dark Wolverine in 2009 with issue #75 and starred Wolverine's son, Daken, as part of the "Dark Reign" storyline. The third volume ended with issue #90 in October 2010.

Wolverine's adventures continued on in the comic Wolverine: Weapon X, which started the same month Wolverine #73 was released. Issues #73 and #74 told two stories divided into two parts, one written by Wolverine: Weapon X writer Jason Aaron, one by Wolverine: Origins writer Daniel Way, which lasted through the end of "Dark Reign".

Wolverine is a fictional character, a superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel. He is commonly known as Logan. Wolverine is a mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease, or toxin at an accelerated rate. The healing factor also slows down his aging process, enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. His powerful healing factor enabled him to survive having the near-indestructible metal alloy adamantium bonded to his skeleton. He is most often depicted as a member of the X-Men, Alpha Flight, or later the Avengers.

As of April 2013, 323 issues and 11 annuals of Wolverine comics have been published.
